In Risen, sometimes we recommend sizing down one for a more snug and long lasting fit with denim that will stretch with you not off of you! So, in this one we definitely recommend sizing down one. If you are a 16, you can do a 15. If you are a 9 or 11, you can do a snug 7 or a loose 9 so to speak!
